Our client, a well-established and growing retail wholesale business, is seeking a Buying Administrator to join their purchasing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised individual looking to develop their career within a fast-paced commercial environment.
The Role
Supporting the Buying Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth administration of purchasing activities, maintaining accurate product information, liaising with suppliers, and helping to ensure stock availability across the business.
Key Responsibilities

Raising and processing purchase orders.

Maintaining accurate supplier, product, and pricing information.

Liaising with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and product queries.

Monitoring stock levels and assisting with replenishment activities.

Investigating and resolving invoice and delivery discrepancies.

Producing reports and spreadsheets to support the buying function.
-
Assisting with new product setup and product range maintenance.

Supporting promotional activity and supplier communications.

Ensuring all purchasing records are accurate and up to date.
Candidate Requirements
-
Previous administration experience, ideally within buying, purchasing, retail, wholesale, or supply chain environments.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.

Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues.

Competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Proactive and willing to learn.
Desirable Experience

Experience working within a retail, wholesale, FMCG, or distribution environment.

Knowledge of stock management or purchasing systems.

Experience supporting a buying or procurement team.
