Dorridge Primary School, a large three form entry, community primary school with a nursery offer high quality wraparound care in a purpose-built provision, known as Darby’s. We wish to appoint two Qualified Playworkers with a recognised Level 3 qualification in childcare for our Teatime Club.
Start Date: 1 September 2026
Contract Permanent, term time (38 weeks), part time
Grade: Band C £26,824 - £29,540 per annum - Full Time Equivalent. Actual Salary Range, based on working 4 x 2.75 hour sessions per week (11 hours), 38 weeks per year is £6668 - £7343 per annum
Hours of Work: Teatime Club: 3:15pm – 6:00pm. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Applications will be considered from candidates who are unable to work every day
We wish to appoint two Qualified Playworkers with a recognised Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Implementing a varied, stimulating and exciting range of activities that meet the children’s developmental needs.
- Ensuring the facility is ready for use, by setting up and clearing away.
- Working as part of a highly motivated and professional team.
- Establishing positive relationships with children and their families.
- Working in close partnership with all school staff and support the whole school ethos.
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- adhere to and promote all school policies.
- safeguard children and promote health and safety.
- promote good practise in a professional and inclusive manner.
- maintain a close liaison with class teachers in order to be aware of and respond appropriately to the needs of all children in your care.
- take responsibility for personal professional development, including participation in own annual appraisal, any necessary training, and keeping abreast of all current issues relating to providing this service.
