The Opportunity – Site Maintenance Person
Hours: Monday to Friday, 4 hours per day (20 hours per week)
Salary: Competitive hourly rate.
Overtime: Additional overtime may be available during busy periods.
This is a flexible part-time position offering an excellent work-life balance, with no weekend working and the opportunity to earn additional income through overtime when available.
As our Site Maintenance Person, you'll play a key role in ensuring our workshop and site remain clean, safe, organised and presentable for both our staff and customers.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:
- General cleaning and housekeeping throughout the workshop.
- Sweeping and maintaining workshop floors.
- Keeping the car park, entrances and external areas clean, tidy and presentable.
- Emptying workshop and office bins and ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
- Removing old vehicle parts and preparing them for recycling or disposal.
- Carrying out small maintenance and repair jobs around the site.
- Assisting with general upkeep of the buildings and facilities.
- Maintaining tools, equipment and storage areas in a safe and organised manner.
- Identifying and reporting any maintenance issues requiring further attention.
- Supporting the workshop team with general site duties as required.
- Helping maintain a safe, clean and professional working environment at all times.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Is reliable, trustworthy and takes pride in their work.
- Has practical DIY, maintenance or handyman skills.
- Can work independently and manage their own workload.
- Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Is physically fit and enjoys a hands-on role.
- Pays attention to detail and maintains high standards.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Holds a full UK driving licence (preferred).
Previous experience in site maintenance, facilities management, caretaking, general building maintenance or similar would be advantageous but is not essential.
