Factory Operative
Cathodic Protection Co Ltd is a leading specialist engineering company based in Grantham, providing corrosion solutions to the oil, gas, water and construction industries globally. Established in 1950, the company has experienced significant growth in recent years through effective market development and the introduction of innovative new products.
The Position
The company is seeking a Factory Operative, based within the Operations team to support with Factory tasks. This is a permanent position, based at our Grantham office, offering an excellent opportunity for developing a career in a progressive global company.
After an initial training period, areas of responsibility will include:
- Duties include welding, cutting, drilling, assembly work, cable crimping and some wiring.
- Operate production equipment.
- Operate lifting equipment.
- Follow all work processes to a high standard.
- Keep the worksite clean to avoid hazards.
- Follow the company’s health & safety and quality guidelines.
- Collecting and delivering materials if required.
- Forklift license would be desirable.
- Some property maintenance maybe required.
The Person

- Previous experience as a Production operative or similar role is essential.
- MIG welding experience would be desirable.
- Sling and lifting experience desirable.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Experience using grinders, cutting equipment and general fabrication tools
- Strong practical and mechanical skills.
- Knowledge of safety rules and precautionary measures (PPE provided).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Working hours:
Week A: 7:30am to 16:30pm Monday to Friday
Week B: 7:30am to 16:30pm Monday to Thursday (Friday off)
