Looking for a summer job with competitive pay that puts you right in the heart of the Edinburgh Fringe? Join Alanda’s – a family-run, local business with buzzing mobile food units at George Square Gardens (next to Edinburgh Uni) and George Street throughout the festival.
We’re hiring Counter Assistants to help serve up our famous fish and chips and soak in the amazing atmosphere.

What the Job Involves:
- Taking customer orders with a smile
- Prepping and serving food
- Keeping our units clean, tidy, and stocked up
- Being a team player and bringing great energy every shift
- Comfortable working in an extremely fast paces work environment
- Having great organisational and time management skills
What We’re Looking For:
- People available 6 days a week, 8-hour shifts
- Please don’t apply if you’re unavailable for more than 3 days during August – we want you to make the most of the month!
- Friendly, reliable folks who enjoy working in a fast-paced, social environment
