# Spray Preparation Assistant **Company:** ORE Precision Coatings **Location:** Home Counties **Job Type:** Part-time **Pay:** Day rate, depending on experience **Start/Finish Times:** To be agreed depending on the project **Weekend Work:** May be required depending on bookings ORE Precision Coatings is looking for a reliable and hard-working Spray Preparation Assistant to support our uPVC and kitchen spraying projects across the Home Counties. This role is ideal for someone practical, punctual, tidy and willing to learn a specialist trade. No previous spraying experience is required, as training will be provided. The most important qualities are reliability, attention to detail, willingness to learn and pride in doing a job properly. ## Main Responsibilities * Help prepare uPVC windows, doors, kitchens and other surfaces for spraying * Clean, degrease, sand and prepare surfaces ready for coating * Carefully mask windows, doors, floors, walls, kitchens and surrounding areas * Load and unload tools, paint, masking materials and equipment * Help set up and pack down work areas * Assist with basic spraying tasks once trained * Keep the site clean, tidy and professional throughout the day * Help protect customer homes and property before work begins * Clean tools and equipment at the end of the job * Follow instructions from the lead sprayer * Work safely and professionally on domestic and commercial sites ## What We’re Looking For * Reliable, punctual and hard-working * Good attention to detail * Willing to learn and take instructions * Comfortable with practical, hands-on work * Tidy and respectful when working in customers’ homes * Able to work as part of a small team * Positive attitude and good communication skills * Comfortable working indoors and outdoors * Previous decorating, labouring, spraying, construction or trade experience is helpful but not essential ## Requirements * Must have a valid driving licence * Must have access to your own vehicle * Must be able to travel to jobs across the Home Counties * Must be comfortable working at height when required * Must be comfortable using ladders, scaffold towers and access equipment where appropriate * Must be physically able to carry equipment, materials and tools * Must be willing to follow health and safety instructions at all times ## Training Provided You will be trained in: * uPVC and kitchen surface preparation * Professional cleaning and sanding methods * Masking and protection techniques * Basic spray painting support * Site setup and pack-down * Working efficiently as part of a small spraying team ## Ideal Candidate The ideal person for this role is someone who wants to learn a practical skill, takes pride in neat work and understands the importance of working carefully in customers’ homes.
