Nick Lang Contracting is a growing and reliable transport operation, committed to delivering high standards across our fleet and services. Due to continued expansion, we are looking for professional and dependable Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join our team.
The Role
As a Class 1 Tramper Driver, you will be responsible for carrying out long-distance deliveries across the UK, staying out in the vehicle during the week (tramping). This role requires a high level of responsibility, professionalism, and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out nationwide deliveries and collections
- Ensure loads are secured safely and comply with regulations
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Maintain accurate driving hours and records in line with legal requirements
- Deliver excellent customer service at delivery points
- Keep vehicle clean and presentable
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous tramping experience preferred but not essential
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and driving laws
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
