We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join their team and help inspire and develop their pupils through sports.
Job Description:
We are seeking a Sports Coach who will play a crucial role in coaching and supporting pupils in various sports activities. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing challenging behaviour and providing support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organise, and deliver sports coaching sessions for secondary school pupils.
- Track and report on student progress, maintaining effective communication with teachers, parents, and external organisations.
- Foster a positive learning environment that helps students develop confidence, independence, and essential social skills.
- Work closely with teaching staff to modify lessons and activities to meet individual needs, ensuring all pupils can fully participate in the curriculum.
- Assist students with emotional regulation and promote positive behaviour.
- Manage and mitigate challenging behaviour, ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere for all pupils.
- Provide tailored support to pupils with ALN, ensuring their full inclusion in sports activities.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to develop and implement individualised support plans.
- Promote the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle to pupils and the wider school community.
Requirements:
- Experience in coaching and supporting children.
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively and sensitively.
- Experience and understanding of supporting pupils with ALN.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for working with young people and a commitment to their development.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
- EWC Registration
