Event Production Lead (Full time, Permanent)

The role
To be one of our Pb Event Production Leads you will have a proven track record in delivering exemplary, creative, and inspiring corporate events to a wide range of clients across various sectors. Ideally, we want to hear from individuals who have at least three years experience of delivering exceptional live, hybrid and virtual events and experiences with demonstratable knowledge and skills in event production management with an emphasis on sustainable solutions. You will also possess a talent for messaging and creative content development and have experience of working within a fast paced agency environment.
The successful candidate will have excellent end to end project management skills managing budgets and scope of projects. This role requires high attention to detail and exemplary client relationship skills. You will strive to creatively interpret our client’s briefs utilising all internal resources to deliver innovative ideas and event solutions which address our client’s objectives.
Technically competent, and confident the Event Production Lead guides our clients through all aspects of the production process. Experience of working with a variety of streaming platforms combined with broadcast and studio knowledge and some experience of show calling would be desirable. You will have prior experience with supporting pitches and presentations, and you should be enthusiastic, solutions orientated, well organised, who can multi-task and work to strict deadlines whilst still delivering great service.
This role is not a remote role and candidates will be expected to work from the Norwich or Edinburgh offices or on-site at different locations when supporting project delivery which can be UK/ overseas. Due to the travel requirements, you will need to be independently mobile to with a full driving licence perform this role. Flexibility with working hours is also desirable when you will be required to support projects on-site which may also be delivered during evenings/weekends.
Main duties:
- Creatively interpret briefs from the client from inception to delivery for event solutions that deliver client outcomes whilst supporting and championing sustainability
- Researching and identifying the most appropriate virtual platform, hybrid solution or live event environment required to meet event budget and objectives using your knowledge and expertise
- Establishing on-going client liaison and regular client meetings. Keeping up to date with any specific clients Master Services Agreements, rate cards and reporting procedures and processes
- Where required, working with the client to agree the event agenda, developing, and managing timelines, status reports and return on objectives and investment
- Taking full budget ownership, securing client approvals, and managing internal business margin targets
- Facilitate and promote the flow of information throughout the project both internally and externally with key project stakeholders
- Creation and management of show content with the internal Creative, Digital and Technical Production teams or third parties where necessary, ensuring the clients message and branding is delivered effectively
- Project management and administration in line with our Business Management Procedures
- On project delivery days fully manage all aspects of the event onsite, including the management of clients, speakers, and crew to ensure successful delivery of the project
- Coordinating and managing post event internal review meetings and client debriefs
- Responsible for the financial closure of an event by providing the finance team with the means to raise the final invoice i.e., purchase orders, leading on the reconciliation process
- To identify and generate new business opportunities for Pb with existing and new clients
- Support with writing proposals, and creative input into client presentations, pitches, tenders etc
- Operate under, and further develop, ways of working to provide an exemplary service both internally and externally
- Oversee the general management of health and safety where necessary and appropriate ensuring all staff and freelancers are aware of our health and safety requirements. Ensure that the appropriate Health and Safety documentation is in place
The person
- 3 + years experience in a similar live or hybrid Event production lead role (E)
- Demonstrable knowledge of a variety of live event platforms such as vMix Call, Zoom, MS Teams etc (E)
- Excellent overall event production knowledge, including show calling, graphic operation and experience on resolving technical and staging production issues (E)
- Proven track record in client relationship management (E)
- Experience and talent for messaging and content development (E)
- Excellent people manager with the ability to manage crews, third party suppliers and support team when on site (E)
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills (E)
- Excellent presentation skills to all level of clients (E)

- Experience and awareness of Health and Safety requirements relating to Event management (E)
