Behind every successful project is someone who keeps everything moving.
The meetings happen because someone organised them. The right people are in the room because someone built the relationships. The deadlines are met because someone kept an eye on the detail. The reports make sense because someone cared enough to get the data right.
That someone could be you.
We're looking for a Project Executive to become an essential part of our Skills & Employment team, supporting projects that help shape the future workforce across our region. You'll play a key role in delivering the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP), working with employers, education providers and partners to ensure local skills meet local business needs.
This isn't a role where you'll sit on the sidelines. You'll be at the heart of the action—coordinating projects, bringing people together, keeping momentum going and making sure every moving part lands where it should.
Every spreadsheet you update, every meeting you coordinate and every conversation you have helps create better opportunities for employers, learners and communities.
A typical week might include...
One morning, you're organising a stakeholder meeting, pulling together agendas and making sure everyone has what they need.
Later that day, you're updating project milestones, spotting that a deadline is approaching and working with colleagues to keep everything on track.
The next day, you're speaking with employers and training providers, arranging appointments, taking minutes and following up on agreed actions. You'll update the CRM, produce reports for the project team and make sure information is accurate and easy to access.
Some days you'll be supporting events. Others you'll be analysing progress or preparing documentation for project meetings. No two weeks look exactly the same, but every week you'll help move important projects forward.
We're looking for someone who...
- Enjoys bringing order to busy projects
- Is naturally organised and loves keeping track of the details
- Can confidently build relationships with a wide range of people
- Is comfortable juggling several priorities without losing sight of deadlines
- Has experience supporting projects, programmes or events
- Is confident using CRM systems or databases
- Has a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Is comfortable arranging appointments, taking clear minutes and following up to keep actions moving.
It would be great if you also have...
- Experience working within skills, education or employability programmes
- Knowledge of publicly funded or partnership-based projects.
Why this role matters
The work you do won't just support a project plan—it will help businesses find the skills they need, support education providers to respond to changing demand, and create better opportunities for people across our region.
You'll join a collaborative team that believes good projects change lives, and you'll have the opportunity to develop your own skills in project coordination, stakeholder engagement and partnership working along the way.
If you're someone who enjoys making things happen, keeping people connected and taking pride in delivering work that has a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.
