Payroll Administrator
Location: Rossendale (Office Based Only)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: £26,500.00

Due to continued growth and expansion, Finesse Resources is looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our supportive and fast-paced office team in Rossendale.
This is a role for someone with a solid payroll background who can confidently manage payroll responsibilities with minimal supervision and quickly become an effective part of the team.
We are looking for an individual who has a proven track record within payroll and can demonstrate hands-on experience across a variety of payroll frequencies, client requirements and payroll legislation.
While full support will always be available, this role is suited to someone who is comfortable working independently, taking ownership of their workload and bringing practical payroll experience into the business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Processing payrolls accurately and efficiently across multiple client accounts
- Managing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles
- Processing payroll changes including hours, overtime, statutory payments, starters and leavers
- Calculating pay and ensuring payroll accuracy before submission
- Managing pension administration including auto enrolment duties and pension submissions
- Processing and submitting RTI filings to HMRC
- Producing and reconciling P32 reports
- Managing Attachment of Earnings Orders and statutory deductions
- Handling payroll queries via telephone, email and internal communication channels
- Maintaining accurate employee and payroll records
- Supporting compliance with payroll legislation and internal procedures
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
- Supporting wider payroll administration and operational activities where required
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 3 years’ payroll experience in a payroll administration or payroll processing role
- Demonstrable payroll experience with a background that can be supported through previous employment and responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong working knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Confident communicator with experience dealing directly with clients
- High level of accuracy and excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach
- Confident using payroll systems and adapting to new processes
- Professional and reliable approach to work
- Comfortable taking ownership and solving problems independently
Highly desirable experience:
- Experience using MDA payroll software
- Experience using Merit payroll software
- Experience using Bright Pay payroll software
We would also consider:
Candidates with strong end-to-end payroll experience from other payroll software platforms who can demonstrate transferable payroll knowledge and the ability to adapt quickly.

Pay: £26,500.00 per year
