Westhaven Care Home is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant with specialist brain injury experience to join our caring and professional team on a full-time basis.
Location: Westhaven Care Home, Lighthouse Road, Hoylake
Position: Full-Time
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
About the Role
You will provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents living with brain injuries and complex care needs. The role requires patience, empathy, and a strong understanding of supporting individuals to maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personal care and daily living support to residents
- Support residents with brain injury-related needs and behaviours
- Promote independence, wellbeing, and social engagement
- Work closely with nurses, senior carers, and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate care records and follow care plans
- Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Requirements
- Previous experience working with individuals with brain injuries
- A caring, compassionate, and professional attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if required
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential
