Job Overview
We are seeking a versatile Handyman/woman to join our busy property team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of practical skills and experience in various maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and is comfortable using both hand and power tools. The Handyman/woman will be responsible for ensuring that properties are well-maintained, safe, and functional.
For this role you will need a full driving license and use of your own vehicle. Fuel will be covered. You are also required to own a smart phone and be able to use various software applications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Adhere to safety standards and building codes
- Collaborate with team members on larger projects
- Provide excellent customer service
- Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks across various properties.
- Assemble furniture, fixtures, and equipment as required.
- Use power tools and hand tools to complete tasks efficiently.
- Conduct plumbing repairs.
- Execute carpentry work, including building or repairing structures.
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of materials or equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with tenants to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- There will also be a requirement to carry out viewings in properties during the working hours.
Experience
- Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Proficient in using both hand tools and power tools safely
