We are looking for Laundry Assistant to join our team.
Hours are 9.00am -3.00pm worked on a rota system over two weeks. Week 1 - Mon, Tues, Sat, Sun. Week 2 - Wed, Thurs, Fri.
Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the Manager, to develop a routine that ensures cleanliness, tidiness, and safety within the company
- To ensure proper standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
- Ensure infection control standards are maintained at all times
- To ensure that safety regulations and safety procedures are followed accordingly
- To ensure the correct and economical use of equipment and materials
- To monitor and maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the laundry area and report any difficulties to the Manager
- To maintain equipment and materials directly concerned with laundry operations to meet Health & Safety and COSHH Regulations
- To work as part of a team giving assistance where necessary
- To attend and participate in meetings with the Manager
- To work in accordance with policies and procedures to achieve quality
- Participate in appropriate training - including mandatory e-learning, staff development and supervision
- The washing and ironing of residents personal clothing which includes the operation of laundry equipment
- Stock control of laundry products
- Undertake minor repairs and labelling of residents personal clothing
- Distribution of clean laundered clothing back to residents’ bedrooms
- To communicate appropriate information to colleagues to assist them in the personal care of the residents
- Other duties considered to be reasonable which fall within the scope of the role

- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Experience of laundry work
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Pay: £12.71-£13.10 per hour
