Job Summary
We're looking for enthusiastic, friendly people to join our bar team. We are a cosy country pub with a fantastic mix of loyal local regulars and visitors who travel from further afield to enjoy great food, drinks and a warm welcome. We also have six beautifully appointed letting rooms, so our team plays an important role in ensuring overnight guests receive the same warm hospitality from the moment they arrive.
If you enjoy meeting people, thrive in a busy environment, and take pride in providing excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you. Previous bar experience is helpful, but personality, reliability and a willingness to learn are just as important.
What you'll be doing
- Welcoming customers and creating a friendly atmosphere.
- Preparing and serving a wide range of drinks efficiently and responsibly.
- Taking food and drink orders and providing attentive table and bar service.
- Greeting and checking in guests staying in our six letting rooms, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and have everything they need for their stay.
- Keeping the bar clean, organised and fully stocked throughout your shift.
- Handling payments accurately using the till system.
- Working as part of a close-knit team during busy service periods.
- Helping with opening and closing duties.
- Following food hygiene, health and safety, and licensing regulations at all times.
What we're looking for

- Someone who enjoys chatting with customers and making everyone feel welcome.
- The ability to stay calm and organised during busy periods.
- A reliable team player with good communication skills.
- Confidence using a computer or willingness to learn our booking and till systems.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Previous bar or hospitality experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right person.
