Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide personalised assistance to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting independence, wellbeing, and inclusion within the community. Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, and household tasks
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with families and healthcare professionals
- Support clients in attending appointments, social activities, and community events
- Facilitate communication between clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams using effective communication skills
- Drive clients safely to appointments or activities as required
- Monitor and document progress, behaviours, and any incidents accurately using IT systems
- Encourage participation in recreational activities such as arts, sports, or educational programmes
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment that respects clients' dignity and preferences
Requirements
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely for client transportation
- Knowledge of childcare practices and ability to support children’s developmental needs
- Ability to develop and follow personalised care plans effectively
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, families, and team members
- Proficiency in IT for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes
- Compassionate attitude with a strong commitment to promoting independence and inclusion
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and support schedules

Pay: £12.21-£13.85 per hour
