We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs
- Carry out assembly tasks following manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines
- Execute welding tasks as required for structural repairs or modifications
- Perform heavy lifting of vehicle parts or equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair needs and solutions clearly to clients
Experience
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic in a professional workshop environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex vehicle issues effectively
- Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive repair tools
- Experience with vehicle assembly and disassembly processes
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various vehicle makes and models
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
