Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated semi skilled Joiner to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and composite structures. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, including residential, commercial, and specialised carpentry tasks. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-quality craftsmanship while adhering to safety standards and project deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble bespoke joinery components using hand tools and power tools
- Install structures such as doors, windows, partitions, roofing frameworks, and customised furniture
- Perform precise measurements and cut materials to specified dimensions
- Assist with roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and construction painting as required
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely during installation processes
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to meet project specifications
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently throughout all tasks
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, or related construction trades
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised joinery equipment
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques and assembly processes
- Experience with roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems or construction painting is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with excellent measurement and cutting skills
- Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are desirable
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
