Overview
We are seeking reliable and dedicated School Cleaners to join our team in Northamptonshire. This role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment within educational premises. Successful candidates will play a vital part in ensuring that schools remain welcoming and conducive to learning for students, staff, and visitors alike. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers steady paid employment with flexible hours to suit your availability.
Duties
- Perform general cleaning duties across school facilities, including classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and dust surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and handrails to promote hygiene.
- Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed.
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure bins are emptied regularly.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning standards are met consistently.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Good organisational skills and reliability in completing assigned tasks efficiently.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting light equipment or supplies.
- A proactive approach with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness within educational environments.

Pay: £12.71-£14.34 per hour
