This is a 9-12 month contract role with a local authority, focused on supporting the planning, management, and delivery of infrastructure projects. The position ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet required quality standards. The role involves coordinating project activities, engaging stakeholders, and delivering outcomes that align with organizational objectives, community needs, and value-for-money principles.
Key Duties/Accountabilities

Plan, manage, and deliver projects or support senior project managers on larger programs.

Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and delivery schedules.

Monitor project progress, risks, and performance, taking corrective action where required.

Prepare clear and detailed reports, documentation, and updates for stakeholders.

Ensure projects meet agreed quality, budget, and time objectives.
Essential Experience Required
-
Experience in project management or coordination within infrastructure, engineering, or similar sectors.

Experience managing project budgets, timelines, and delivery outputs.

Experience working with stakeholders, contractors, or consultants.

Understanding of project lifecycle, governance, and risk management.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
Essential Qualifications Required

Degree, HND, HNC in Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline or equivalent experience.

Understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, or similar).

Evidence of continuous professional development.
Additional Information

Working hours: 37 hours per week.

Driving license required.

Must be available to start by 20th July; no long notice periods will be considered.

Duration: 9-12 months.

Pay rate: £400 per day umbrella.

Office-based up to 3 days per week, with 2 days remote working.

Site visits required as agreed.

Bi-weekly work schedule.
