Commercial Fleet Inspector
£35,977.50 per annum & bonus
Full time, permanent. 44 hours per week.
Flexible hours, including early starts, late finishes, and weekends.
As a Commercial Fleet Inspector, you will be provided with a company van for commuting and everything you need to succeed in your role. You will take ownership of inspecting customer fleets, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently. You’ll plan and manage your workload across your assigned portfolio, carrying out inspections, identifying maintenance needs, and liaising with customers and colleagues. Your contribution will play a key role in keeping Britain’s fleets running smoothly.
This role covers a large geographical area, so a willingness to travel is essential.
Responsibilities as a Commercial Fleet Inspector:
- Manage and schedule fleet inspections within monthly and quarterly cycles
- Identify defects and maintenance requirements to ensure safety and compliance
- Build strong working relationships with customers, Tyre Technicians, Area Sales Managers, and Depot Managers
- Maintain high service standards and achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Record and submit detailed inspection reports, highlighting defects, risks, and recommended actions
- Ensure all inspections are completed in line with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Monitor fleet condition trends and proactively highlight recurring issues to management
Requirements as a Commercial Fleet Inspector:
- Valid right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence
- Previous experience in a commercial vehicle tyre role (e.g. Commercial Tyre Technician) or a similar position
- Strong knowledge of tyre husbandry and maintenance
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and working hours
