Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Duty Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for delivering exceptional guest services, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of our organisation while ensuring guest satisfaction and operational excellence. This role will be 5 evenings a week.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff members across various departments to ensure high standards of service.
- Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Oversee the daily operational procedures, including check-in/check-out processes, reservations, and service delivery.
- Support human resources functions such as staff scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Maintain health and safety standards in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Assist in organising events or special functions hosted at the venue.
- Ensure compliance with all organisational policies, procedures, and licensing regulations.
- Act as a point of contact during shifts for both staff and guests, providing leadership and support as needed.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within the hospitality or hotel industry.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to communicate effectively with a broad range of guests.
- Experience in human resources practices including staff training and performance appraisal.
- Knowledge of hotel operations, reservations systems, and hospitality standards.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; additional languages are advantageous.
