The Opportunity
We are seeking an ambitious and motivated Semi Senior Accountant to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to take the next step in their accountancy career and gain exposure to a broad range of clients, industries, and advisory work.
You will be involved in statutory accounts preparation, taxation, VAT, management accounts, and direct client interaction, providing valuable hands-on experience across multiple service areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companies
- Preparation of management accounts
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns, including more complex VAT matters
- Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax return compliance
- Liaising directly with clients and responding to accounting and tax queries
- Bookkeeping and accounting software support using Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Zoho and other platforms
- Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
- Assisting with advisory and business support services where required
- Supporting senior team members on client assignments and projects
RequirementsEssential
- AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA part-qualified
- Minimum of 3–5 years recent UK accountancy practice experience
- Strong understanding of:
- Statutory accounts preparation
- VAT
- Personal tax
- Corporation tax
- Experience using accounting software, including:
- QuickBooks
- Sage
- Xero
- Other cloud-based accounting platforms
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Proactive attitude with a desire to learn and progress
Desirable
- Experience preparing management accounts
- Exposure to a variety of client sectors
- Knowledge of cloud accounting systems and digital bookkeeping processes
Education
- A-Level (or equivalent) required
Location Requirements
Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Harrow HA1 2BY or be willing to relocate prior to commencing employment.

Pay: £25,002.95-£36,000.00 per year
