Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised support to individuals, including children, helping them to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life. Monday - Friday 6am starts 2:1 Weekends. 9am starts.
Responsibilities
- Offer support to clients, including children, in various settings such as homes, and in the community.
- Provide mentoring to help individuals develop life skills, confidence, and independence.
- Assist with daily activities and routines, ensuring safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Support clients with educational activities or homework assistance where appropriate.
- Develop personalised support plans in collaboration with clients and relevant professionals.
- Encourage participation in social activities and community engagement to promote inclusion.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made, adhering to organisational policies.
- Promote positive behaviour management strategies and emotional support tailored to individual needs.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- Strong mentoring skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Passion for teaching and supporting individuals to reach their full potential.
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Ability to work flexibly within a team or independently as required.
- Experience working with challenging behaviour.
- Must have PMVA
Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
