ISQ Recruitment is recruiting for an Analytical Laboratory Technician to join a product development team within a medical device environment.
This role would suit someone with experience in medical devices, pharmaceutical development, inhalation products, combination products, analytical chemistry or another regulated laboratory setting.
You will support laboratory and product development work, including prototype evaluation, analytical testing, data review, test method documentation and laboratory reporting.
The Role
Duties will include:
- Evaluating prototypes, samples and formulations using laboratory and analytical test equipment
- Supporting analytical testing linked to product performance and development work
- Preparing drug solutions, buffers, formulations or similar laboratory solutions
- Using chemical analytical techniques such as UV/VIS, fluorescence, spectrophotometry or HPLC
- Supporting test method development, calibration, verification or validation
- Recording, reviewing and analysing laboratory data
- Identifying test issues, data anomalies or unexpected results
- Preparing laboratory reports and supporting technical documentation
- Maintaining laboratory equipment, consumables and accurate records
- Working in line with quality, health and safety and regulatory requirements
What We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical, inhalation product, combination product or regulated laboratory environment
- Experience using chemical analytical techniques, ideally UV/VIS, fluorescence, spectrophotometry or HPLC
- Experience preparing laboratory solutions, buffers or formulations
- Good documentation, report-writing and data review skills
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Awareness of quality systems, laboratory health and safety and regulated testing requirements
Experience with inhalation products, aerosol testing, DPI, SMI, analytical method validation or COSHH chemical risk assessment would be useful, but is not essential.
