Bank Cook / Housekeeper – Best Lives
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and enthusiastic Bank Cook / Housekeeper to join the Best Lives team.

About the Role
As a Bank Cook / Housekeeper, you will provide essential day-to-day support within a domestic setting, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment. You will also be responsible for preparing and cooking traditional home-style meals from fresh ingredients for three elderly gentlemen, tailored to their individual tastes, dietary needs, and preferences, following a set menu plan.
This is a varied and hands-on role that includes cooking, housekeeping, and general support duties, including weekends as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Cook and prepare fresh, traditional home-cooked meals and desserts daily, in line with individual preferences and dietary requirements
- Follow and contribute to menu planning
- Assist with ordering ingredients, stock control, and stock rotation
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness, including daily recording and monitoring
- Carry out general housekeeping duties including cleaning and laundry
- Provide a comfortable, safe, and well-maintained home environment
- Support with basic daily tasks and activities as required
- Potentially assist with transportation to appointments where needed
- Work flexibly across weekdays and weekends as part of a bank staff rota

- Experience working with vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential
