City St George’s is seeking an enthusiastic clinician-educator to take on the role of MBBS Secondary Care Clinical Teaching Fellow Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish, integrate and support a small group of MBBS Clinical Teaching Fellows employed by City St George’s, working closely with the MBBS Quality Team, MBBS Practice Education Lead, Academic Year Leads and the wider programme team. The principal aim of the role is to enhance the learning experience of MBBS students while on clinical placement. The role also includes a designated educational role, assigned in accordance with MBBS and Divisional priorities.
Your new roles responsibilities will include:
- Establish, integrate, support and manage a group of MBBS Clinical Teaching Fellows employed by City St George’s
- Support the embedding of CTFs into secondary care clinical placements across the clinical years of the MBBS programme
- Manage induction and provide ongoing guidance, supervision and developmental support for CTFs
- Work with the MBBS Quality Team and MBBS Practice Education Lead to identify placements that would benefit from CTF support
- Support CTFs to develop and implement teaching and learning strategies that enhance students’ placement experience
- Develop and maintain a CTF Canvas webpage and associated learning resources
- Review and act on student feedback relating to CTFs and CTF-supported placements
- Contribute to clinical placement quality assurance and relevant programme governance processes
- Attend the Clinical Placements Meeting and work collaboratively with MBBS Year Leads, Core Specialty Leads and the wider MBBS Senior Leadership Team
Undertake a designated educational role in line with MBBS and Divisional priorities

To be successful in your application you will be a clinician or clinical academic with experience of undergraduate education, a strong understanding of clinical placement learning, and an interest in developing educational leadership within the MBBS programme.
