Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely both locally and over long distance. This role requires excellent driving skills, strong organisational abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding service. This is a part time role, for 1 or 2 days a week.
Duties
- Safely operate a courier van to deliver parcels and goods to various locations within the scheduled routes
- Load and unload items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring items are secured properly during transit
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients and handle any required documentation accurately
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or delays
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company safety policies at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a valid <PERSON> driver’s licence
- Knowledge of local roads and navigation skills to plan efficient routes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, demonstrating physical fitness for the role
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries within tight schedules
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality service at all times
Pay: £12.71 per hour
