We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Commis Chef / Kitchen Porter to join our friendly kitchen team at our busy golf club in St Andrews.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their kitchen skills in a supportive environment. Whether you have previous experience as a Commis Chef or Kitchen Porter, or you're keen to start a career in hospitality, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the chefs with food preparation and basic cooking duties.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
- Help with stock rotation and deliveries.
- Ensure food safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
What We're Looking For
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential as full training can be provided.
- Food Hygiene Certificate is an advantage but not required.
Working Hours
- 20–30 hours per week
- Flexible shifts including evenings and weekends.
- Additional hours may be available during busy periods, events and golf tournaments.
