Hours: 38.5 hours per week – early morning to afternoon shifts

At Bancroft Care Centre, we pride ourselves on providing residents with nutritious, delicious meals every day. We’re looking for a dedicated Cook to join our friendly kitchen team and help make mealtimes enjoyable and satisfying for everyone in our care.
Prepare and cook meals for residents, including breakfast, lunch, and light evening meals.
Follow menus and dietary plans, catering for special diets (e.g., soft, pureed, or diabetic meals).
Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in line with care home and legal requirements.
Monitor kitchen stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
Work as part of a small, supportive kitchen team to ensure smooth meal service.
Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas.
Previous experience in a cooking role, ideally in a care home or catering environment.
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, organised, and motivated to consistently deliver high-quality meals.
