An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sous Chef to join a highly regarded coastal pub renowned for its fresh food offering, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to quality.
Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will assist in leading a busy kitchen operation, ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and team performance.
The Position
- Support the Head Chef with all kitchen operations
- Assist in menu planning and seasonal menu development
- Manage stock control, ordering, and food rotation
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team during service
- Maintain food safety and compliance standards
- Deputise for the Head Chef when required
The Person
- Previous Sous Chef experience within a fresh-food environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisational abilities
- Passion for quality ingredients and creative cooking
- Ability to perform in a high-volume service environment
