About Cocktail Week
Cocktail Week is the UK & Ireland's leading city-by-city cocktail events series — a celebration of cocktail culture that brings together bars, brands, and drinks enthusiasts across more than a dozen cities. Events run in Belfast, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Coventry, York, Cardiff, Dublin, Cork and more, with new cities launching in 2027.
We sell wristband-access ticketed events and work with hundreds of independent and group venues as partners. Our audience is a database of 100,000+ subscribers and growing. We're in a phase of serious scale — more cities, bigger targets, and a marketing operation that needs to run like clockwork.
The Role
We have a proven marketing structure: email campaigns, paid media, content, influencer outreach, venue partnerships, a growing database. What we need now is someone to make sure all the gears are turning — that campaigns go out on time, channels are performing, budgets are working hard, and nothing falls through the cracks across a busy multi-city calendar.
This is a senior position within the business and a long-term hire. We're not looking for someone to come in, do a good job for a year, and move on. We want someone who becomes a cornerstone of how Cocktail Week operates — who grows with the business, takes on more as we scale, and works closely with the directors to push the brand further year on year. If you want to build something over time and have a real stake in where it goes, this is that role.
Day-to-day, it's a Senior Marketing Manager role with a strong operational and commercial focus. You'll be responsible for keeping the whole marketing programme on track: holding timelines, coordinating the team, owning the paid and email channels directly, and constantly looking at where we can get more return from what we're doing.
You'll work with a lean, hard-working team and have direct access to the directors. The immediate priority is keeping the machine running at pace and making it more effective every event cycle — and as you do that, the scope and the opportunity grow with you.
What You'll Own
Campaign Planning & Timeline Management
- Own the marketing calendar across all cities — making sure every campaign phase launches on time, every channel is coordinated, and the team knows what's coming and when
- Track progress against key milestones (pre-announce, on-sale, early bird close, event week) and flag risks early
- Be the person who holds everything together when it gets busy — and it does get busy
Email & CRM
- Run the full email programme in Brevo — campaigns, automations, segmentation, and list growth
- Execute the database growth strategy: lead magnets, competitions, venue partnerships
- Monitor and act on performance data — open rates, click rates, revenue attribution — and continuously improve
Paid Advertising
- Plan and run paid campaigns across Meta and Google — retargeting, lookalikes, prospecting
- Own the paid media budget; allocate spend intelligently across cities and campaign phases to maximise ticket sales
- Keep conversion tracking clean and report clearly on what's working
Performance & Optimisation
- Track marketing effectiveness across all channels — not just outputs but outcomes (ticket sales, database growth, cost per acquisition)
- Identify where we're leaving money or reach on the table and fix it
- Report clearly to the founders on performance, pacing, and priorities
What We're Looking For
Must-haves
- 4+ years in marketing, with a track record of managing campaigns end-to-end — planning, execution, and results
- Strong operational instincts — you're the person who makes sure things actually happen on time and to brief
- Hands-on experience with paid media on Meta and Google
- Solid experience with email marketing platforms (Brevo, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar)
- Commercial focus — you measure success in ticket sales and revenue, and you know how to optimise towards them
- Clear, direct communicator who can coordinate across a team without creating noise
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in events, hospitality, food & drink, or ticketing
- Familiarity with Fatsoma, Eventbrite, or similar ticketing platforms
- Experience using AI tools to work faster and smarter — we use them actively and you'll benefit from doing the same
- Some experience managing or coordinating a small team
What You'll Get
- A senior, long-term position at the heart of a fast-growing events business
- Direct working relationship with the directors — you'll be close to the decisions that matter
- A structure that works — your job is to run it well and make it better, not build it from scratch
- A lean, capable team around you
- Real visibility into the commercial performance of everything you do
- Genuine scope to grow the role, the team, and your own career as the business scales
