We're SWB Projects, a commercial fit-out and joinery contractor based in Glasgow. We work on commercial premises, high-end domestic jobs, and the maintenance contracts that come with looking after clients long term across the Central Belt.
The role:
We need a joiner, or a joinery company, to come on board as an ongoing subcontractor. First and second fix. Dry lining right through to fitting counters and doors. Commercial fit-out sites, high-end domestic, and reactive maintenance (during normal hours) for existing clients.
We're a small team. If you can't do the job, it shows fast. That's just how it works when there's nowhere to hide.
What we're looking for:
Someone reliable who can work off their own back and solve problems on site without being told twice. Someone who fits in with the rest of the crew. We're not after lone wolves or clock-watchers. Subcontractors and joinery companies both welcome.
Requirements:
.Your own basic toolkit.
.Your own transport.
.Your own public liability insurance.
.CSCS card preferred, not essential.
.References from previous contracts welcome.
Training:
Experience helps, but we'll train the right person if the fit is there.
What we offer:
Ongoing work across Glasgow and the Central Belt. CIS subcontractor basis, tax deducted at source. Instead of a formal interview, a two week working trial on site.
If everyone is happy, we talk rates properly. Most of the team working with us now have been with us for years.
