Overview
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Shop Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, supporting daily shop operations, and assisting customers with their needs. The ideal candidate will be organised, communicative, and able to work effectively in a busy retail environment. Duties
- Welcome customers warmly and assist them with their enquiries
- Provide information about products and services offered in the shop
- Process transactions accurately, and handle card payments
- Restock shelves and ensure the shop floor remains tidy and organised
- Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness of the shop area to ensure a welcoming environment
- Support colleagues with various tasks as required to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is advantageous but not essential
- Organised, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Friendly demeanour with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly during shop hours, including weekends if required
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions accurately
