Lanesborough House Care Home
Hours: 27 hours per week, worked over 4 days (including alternate weekends)

Lanesborough House Care Home is looking for a reliable, caring and hardworking Housekeeping Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, comfortable, and homely environment for our residents, visitors, and colleagues.
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of cleanliness throughout the home, ensuring all areas are maintained to a welcoming and hygienic standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for residents, visitors, and colleagues
- Follow and complete daily and scheduled cleaning duties throughout the care home
- Ensure all bedrooms, communal areas, and furnishings are kept clean, tidy, and well maintained
- Safely use and store cleaning equipment and products in accordance with COSHH regulations
- Carry out regular stock checks and order cleaning supplies as required
- Report any defects, damage, or maintenance concerns relating to equipment, furnishings, or the environment
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and machinery is maintained in good working order and report faults promptly
- Support with the induction and orientation of new housekeeping team members
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and infection prevention and control standards
Please note that these duties are not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake additional responsibilities in line with the needs of the service.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable, but not essential
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices, including COSHH and Health & Safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive attitude and a genuine commitment to creating a comfortable environment for residents
