Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a cook. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic environment. Prior experience in a restaurant or catering setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and ensuring timely delivery of dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Help with food storage, rotation, and inventory management to minimise waste
- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to hygiene standards and safety protocols
- Support serving staff during busy periods by assisting with plating or delivering meals when required
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a kitchen environment is desirable but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
- Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary procedures
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team
