How you'll make a difference
You'll play a visible role in strengthening payment operations, regulatory compliance and control effectiveness across the department.
You'll take ownership of key regulatory and controls activity including:
- Maintaining gap analysis against key regulatory requirements, including PSRs, EMIR and SFTR.
- Co-ordinating annual regulatory reviews and attestations, including Secure Customer Authentication, Confirmation of Payee and PCI compliance activity.
- Monitoring payment scheme rules, horizon-scanning regulatory change and helping translate requirements into operational action.
- Managing departmental risks, controls, incidents and improvement actions through the risk and controls register.
- Co-ordinating control testing, policy and standards updates, and supporting annual insurance-related submissions.
What will you bring to the role?
- Knowledge of the payment's regulatory framework and risk management practices is essential.
- Proven track record of building effective relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Strong communication skills—listening, writing, and presenting with clarity and confidence.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail; able to prioritise, multitask, and perform under pressure.
- Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working independently to deliver results
