Field Service Engineer (Waste Machinery)

Location: Nottingham (Field-based)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £42,000 - £44,000 p.a. + Overtime + Company Van + Benefits
We are currently working with a well-established and highly respected specialist within the waste management industry, who are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their growing team.

Responsibilities
Installing, commissioning, and providing operator training on balers, compactors, and associated recycling equipment.
Diagnosing faults and carrying out service, maintenance, and repair work on customer sites and at company facilities.
Performing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical fault finding.
Refurbishing machinery to a high standard.
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Completing digital service reports and maintenance records.
Liaising professionally with customers and providing technical support.
Working closely with internal departments to ensure efficient project and service delivery.
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices.
Experience / Skills Required
Previous experience working on balers, compactors, or similar recycling and waste management machinery.
Strong electrical and hydraulic fault-finding experience.
Welding experience is essential.
Fabrication experience would be advantageous.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
Flexibility to undertake occasional overnight stays (approximately 1 night away every 2 weeks) and Saturday work (paid at overtime rates).
