We are looking for a proactive and influential Finance Business Partner to join our new Business Partnering Team and support the delivery of our financial strategy and drive a strong, collaborative financial culture across the institution.
Reporting to the Deputy Director of Finance, you will provide high-quality financial insight, support senior stakeholders and build strong relationships with senior leaders, and help drive a positive, collaborative financial culture across the organisation.
As Finance Business partner you will:

Lead budgeting and forecasting for your service areas, including annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, staffing establishment updates, capital and project reporting, and full costing models.

Driving strategic decision making for your service area

Deliver professional, customer focused financial support to your service areas, translating complex information into clear, actionable advice.

Analyse performance, monitor KPIs and highlight trends to support strategic decision-making.

Drive value for money, ethical practice and continuous improvement in financial management through data reviews and departmental engagement.

Collaborate with Finance teams to strengthen financial management culture and consistency.

Provide training and guidance to staff with financial responsibilities and support the development of a unified financial management culture.

As finance business partner, you will enjoy change, like getting to the heart of complex information, and takes real satisfaction from working with and supporting colleagues across the organisation.
You will have an excellent understanding of accounting principles; and Ability to clearly explain financial concepts in a way that is easily understood by non-finance managers, with the ability to influence and challenge senior managers in operational roles by building trust and confidence through demonstrated understanding of operational context
