Supersets is an innovative scenery construction company specializing in film and television, pop promos, commercials, events, and high-end visual merchandising. We are seeking an exceptional Project Manager to join our team. We are currently in an exciting period of growth, and the successful candidate will play a vital role in our next stage of development.
The Project Manager will be responsible for organising the project, ordering goods and services and completing relevant documentation for projects.
This role is ideal for a well-organized and methodical individual who enjoys working within a small team and takes a flexible approach to prioritizing and executing their duties. You should thrive in a versatile, growing organization and have an affinity for developing and maintaining effective systems and routines.
The ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and proactively drive projects forward is vital. We are looking for an individual with excellent project management skills who can prioritize effectively and respond rapidly to shifting demands.
Project Management
- Coordinate complex projects as the first point of contact for clients, staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to an exceptional standard.
- Represent Supersets at client meetings and site recces.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date written records of all client agreements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Create and manage project schedules, booking crew to ensure adequate staffing levels across the workshop and ongoing projects at all times.
Costing and Budgeting
- Monitor and control project budgets to ensure works are delivered financially on target, maximizing profit margins, and providing regular reports to the Company Director.
- Procure equipment and materials, maintaining detailed and accurate records of all project expenditures.
Management
- Conduct building and equipment inductions for new staff and subcontractors, completing skills checklists to verify experience and competency levels.
Health & Safety
- Undertake risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), ensuring full compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation.
- Take reasonable care for all health and safety matters concerning yourself and your team, acting in accordance with Supersets' Health and Safety procedures.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience managing teams and/or workshops.
- An excellent eye for detail and commitment to high-quality output.
- Self-motivated, highly driven, and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work highly effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Prior experience in construction builds.
- Proficiency in CAD drawing (Vectorworks experience is highly preferred).
- A solid understanding of costing and quoting for scenic builds and installations.
- Experience using Mac computers and associated software.
