About Ballers Sports Club
Ballers Sports Club delivers high-quality sports coaching, childcare, and enrichment activities for children in a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment. We are expanding our provision to include Wraparound Care (Breakfast and After School Clubs) and are looking to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Club Practitioners to join our team.
Role Overview
As a Club Practitioner, you will support the day-to-day delivery of our Breakfast and After School Clubs, creating a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for children aged primary school age. You will work closely with the Club Manager and wider team to deliver engaging activities, support children’s wellbeing, and ensure safeguarding standards are met at all times.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about working with children, sport, play, and positive development.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of Breakfast Club (7:30am–8:40am) and/or After School Club (3:10pm–5/6:00pm) sessions
- Engage children in a range of play, creative, and sports-based activities
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children
- Support children with additional needs, including 1-to-1 support for SEN pupils where required
- Assist with food preparation and snack/breakfast service in line with food safety standards
- Follow all safeguarding, behaviour, and health & safety policies
- Work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with the Club Manager
- Maintain accurate registers and follow sign-in/sign-out procedures
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, school staff, and colleagues
Person Specification Essential
- Experience working with children (school, childcare, sports, or play settings)
- A positive, enthusiastic, and reliable approach
- Ability to engage and motivate children of different ages and abilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to complete required training
Desirable
- Experience in wraparound care, after school clubs, or holiday camps
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Sports coaching or playwork experience
- Relevant childcare or playwork qualification (Level 2/3 or equivalent)
Safeguarding & Compliance
All successful applicants will be required to:
- Hold or obtain an Enhanced DBS check
- Complete Safeguarding and Child Protection training
- Hold or obtain Paediatric First Aid certification
- Complete Food Safety & Hygiene training
