JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a reliable, hard working and motivated Packing Assistant to support our chocolate production team. You will play a key role in packing chocolates to ensure consistent quality in our chocolate products, you may be required to use chocolate machinery. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced but friendly environment. All training will be provided for the right candidate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in the preparation and weighing of chocolates
- Operate and monitor chocolate equipment under supervision
- Follow instructions and packing layouts accurately
- Ensure consistent quality throughout the packing process
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the production area
- Support stock rotation and ingredient organisation
- Comply with food safety and health & safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with other production & packing team members
Requirements:
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing (preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good numeracy skills for quantity of products packaged
- Ability to work in a warm, fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive and reliable attitude
- Basic understanding of food hygiene standards (training can be provided)

About Us:
We are a small, family-run chocolate factory dedicated to producing high-quality, handcrafted chocolate products. We pride ourselves on traditional methods, attention to detail, and a warm, supportive working environment. We have just moved to a larger facility on Riverside Business Park in Bakewell & are looking to expand our team.
Working Hours:
A successful candidate will work 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday & 8am to 12 Noon Fridays. During the busier periods (The run up to Christmas) - Optional overtime may be available - Overtime is paid at time and a half rates - please note that overtime is not available all year round.
