Sales and Business Manager
Position: Permanent - Full Time Location: Ferndown Hours: Mon-Fri, 8.30am - 5pm
Starting Salary: £34k-40k DOE plus bonus scheme after 3 month probation

Fire Door Controls is a specialist supplier and installer of alarm activated fire door closers providing service nationwide to the Residential Care, Social Housing and Retirement Living sectors. The company offers professional independent advice on the wide range of products available in the market along with our own unique and exclusive solutions.
Working directly with the company owner, we require a dynamic and self-motivated individual with a professional manner and strong work ethic to take over the management and development of the business in order to achieve clear growth goals in line with the company business plan.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development along with experience in recruiting and managing a small team of staff.
Key skills and requirements:
- Proven sales and business development background
- Experience of recruiting and managing a team
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Dynamic, self-motivated with a professional manner and strong work ethic
- A ‘can-do’ attitude and the ability to work independently and on own initiative
- Interest or experience in our core markets an advantage but not essential
Our products are not particularly technical but ongoing training is provided including some initial customer site visits.
Day-to-day business activities during induction period:
- Dealing with inbound enquiries and orders
- Managing and developing relations with existing customers and prospects
- Generating new business with pro-active outbound calling
- Managing customer order spreadsheet
- Preparation of quotes and invoices
- Placing orders with suppliers
- Liaising with sub-contractors
- General office management
