Secondary Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic secondary school in Chichester. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about education and committed to helping young people achieve their full potential.
Working closely with teachers and support staff, you will provide classroom assistance, support students with their learning, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Assist students individually and in small groups to enhance learning outcomes.
Provide additional support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) where required.
Help manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
Prepare learning materials and classroom resources.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Promote student wellbeing, confidence, and independence.
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
A positive, patient, and proactive approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build effective relationships with students and staff.
A genuine passion for supporting young people in their education.
Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or support work would be advantageous.
