Job Overview

As the Sales Manager, you’ll be passionate about automotive knowledge and solutions, and highly influential and approachable in how you engage with colleagues and customers. Your Key Responsibilities:
Passionate about automotive Industry
Results-focused and commercially driven
Exceptionally strong communication skills and people skills – you’re a good listener, approachable and empathetic
Management experience you wish to build on
Proven experience in sales and centre experience
Ability to deliver great customer experiences, build rapport and connection
Be responsible for managing a fast paced and busy sales environment.
Lead and inspire and engage the sales team, modelling the skill and behaviours required for excellent customer service
Ensure each team member is working towards achieving targets, and objectives in line with the centre’s performance goals
Ensure sales performance processes and systems are as robust as possible- monitoring progress and maximizing productivity whilst motivating your team.
Manage sales team development, performance and recruitment, monitoring training needs and providing hands on coaching as part of your own career objectives
Maximise commercial opportunities through providing advice to sales and aftersales executives and sign-off on key issues such as customer discounts and approvals for used car purchases
Plan and implement effective local promotions, dealership displays and advertising campaigns in collaboration with the Centre Principal and marketing team
Manage the supply of used car stock effectively in line with centre guidelines and goals
Understand the relevant local market, competition, and consumer influences, analyse a variety of commercial data and work with the dealership management to ensure the success and growth of the centre
Be a core member of the centres team, observe and lead by example, ensuring all opportunities are captured and customers’ needs are met by the most appropriate member of your team.

A full UK driving licence
Eligibility to work in the UK
Flexible to work hours required to carry out the role effectively and travel (to the training sessions)

Experience and Qualifications
Good level of general education – at least GCSE English and Maths and ideally A-Levels or an equivalent qualification
IT skills, (MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and social media skills
Proven prior experience in a similar role in the automotive industry
Successful track record of delivering outstanding results as well as delivering exceptional customer satisfaction

Working Pattern:
You will work an average of 5.5 days per week over a 4-week period, including weekend working.
