Central Recruitment are an Agency based in Blackburn and we are recruiting for our client based in Darwen. Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Fabric Inspector to join their quality inspection team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all fabrics meet the company's high standards of quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of fabric properties and inspection techniques. The Fabric Inspector will play a vital part in maintaining product excellence and customer satisfaction.
The working hours are Monday to Friday 6.45am to 2.45pm.
Duties
- Conduct thorough visual and physical inspections of fabrics to identify defects, inconsistencies, or damages.
- Utilise specialised analysis skills to assess fabric quality, including colour consistency, texture, and strength.
- A good understanding of written instructions, mathematics and measuring is vital.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records for traceability.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in developing and updating quality assurance protocols and inspection procedures.
- Participate in training sessions to stay current with industry standards and best practices in fabric inspection.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabric or textile inspection or a related quality assurance role.
- Strong analysis skills with an eye for detail and precision.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report findings clearly.
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
