Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Food Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Operate food production machinery in accordance with company procedures and safety standards
- Assist with the preparation, processing, and packaging of food products
- Ensure compliance with HACCP protocols and food safety regulations at all times
- Conduct quality checks to maintain product consistency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the production area, including sanitising equipment and work surfaces
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or issues promptly
- Perform basic mechanical tasks such as troubleshooting equipment malfunctions
- Record production data accurately using basic maths skills for measurements and quantities
- Follow health and safety guidelines to minimise risks within the production environment
Qualifications
- Knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety standards is highly desirable
- Experience in food production or manufacturing environments is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with machinery is a plus
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, weight calculations, and inventory tracking are required
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to food manufacturing processes

AM 6am-2pm
PM 2pm-10pm
Pay: £12.71 per hour
