Job Overview
We are seeking reliable and skilled Class 1 drivers to join our expanding team. The ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering palletised goods to various locations across the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands. Delivering to a mixture of Distribution Centres, Warehouse, and customers premises. These roles are permanent with a Monday to Friday shift with start times varying between 6am and 8am. Shifts on average are approx 10-11 hours but can be shorter or longer dependent on work loads.
Responsibilities
- Operate curtain side lorries safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order before each journey.
- Deliver and collect freight securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
- Communicate effectively with the transport team regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Follow established routes while being adaptable to changes as required by traffic or weather conditions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a in a similar role is essential.
- Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with an excellent driving record is required.
- Experience with curtain side lorry operations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with local roads and routes will be an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are necessary for maintaining accurate records.

What we offer in return
- Yearly salary of £37,500 paid monthly plus bonus

For insurance purposes we require a minimum of 2 years experience and applicant must have no more than 6 points on their licence.
