The Old Vicarage Allithwaite is a family-led care home with 16 bedrooms, situated in a peaceful rural area near the coast. We are dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized senior care in a warm and welcoming environment, reflecting our core values of respect, dignity, and community.
Responsibilities
Organising
· Oversee Breakfasts when on duty, and give assistance if needed.
· Monitor staff breaks to make ensure that the relevant amount of time is taken.
· Have knowledge of heating, water & electricity controls.
· Help organise activities & outings for residents.
· Be responsible for care of clients with dementia.
Care of Residents
· Ensure that staff clean, wash & take care of resident's personal hygiene.
· Ensure staff treat residents with respect and dignity.
· Check all residents to see that their needs are being met.
· Observe & ensure care staff assist residents using straps, hoist, Zimmer frames and use correct lifting techniques.
· Distribute medicines correctly
· Help care staff if sickness reduces staff numbers
· To be on call 2 days each week
Training
· Undertake training for senior staff as & when required.
· Assist in the training & induction of new staff
On call structure
On call 2 days per week
The on-call staff member must be close enough to return to work within 45 minutes of being contacted and must be in a fit state to provide appropriate assistance.
On call from 07:00pm – 07:00am the following day
