Fairline HoldCo are seeking a NEBOSH qualified Environmental Health & Safety Advisor who will support the day to day HSE Company requirements, reporting directly to the Head of Environmental Health & Safety.
Fixed Term Contract - 6 months with opportunity for permanent position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the Head of Environmental Health and Safety, to assist the business to comply with legal requirements, manage risks, prevent incidents, and create safer working environments for employees, contractors and visitors.
- Liaising with management, supervisors and environmental safety representatives in the establishment and administration of the companies Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental management systems.
- Ensuring that there is timely and consistent advice, support, coaching and governance of workplace EHS standards and legislation to support all activities across the business.
- Supporting in the development and embedding of an improved safety culture driving continuous improvement, whilst supporting the EHS improvement programme.
- Provide support with the completion of accident / near miss investigations. Producing comprehensive reports with root cause analysis.
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to assess compliance with the business management system / legal and other requirements, whilst identifying areas for improvement.
- Understand the requirements of the company environmental permits and ensuring the VOC submission spreadsheet is up to date.
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety, fire, and environmental documentation.
- Ensure that the following are kept up to date – Policy and procedure register, risk registers, COSHH data, Hazardous chemical usage spreadsheet, and statutory compliance matrix.
- Assist in the review, implementation and delivery of safety protocols, toolbox talks, emergency procedures including best practice to minimise workplace hazards.
- Providing technical support and advice with all stakeholders and embed a positive EHS Culture with demonstrable benefits.
- Promote a culture that ensures continuous improvement through a proactive identification of business risks through creation of suitable and sufficient risk assessments. Working closely with senior management, continue our efforts to extend current proactive behaviours towards identifying, managing, and minimising risk across our business.
- Carrying out VOC emission perimeter audits as scheduled.
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of site environmental management system in line with the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 & ISO 45001.
- Completion of suitable & sufficient Risk Assessments and development of SSOW.
- Provide training and guidance to employees in accordance with company’s requirements.
Qualifications (or working towards):
- NEBOSH National Diploma or NVQ Level 6 Health and Safety
- NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety
- NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate
- PTTLS, CTTLS, DTTLS or city and guilds teacher’s certificate
- Internal Quality Auditor certificate (Regulated)
- Affiliate / Associate member or working towards Technical / Member of IOSH / IRSM

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
